Ok, metal doesn't particularly inspire me, but for the photography class that I am currently taking at college, this week's photo assignment was to capture the same metal object with both dark lighting and reflective lighting. I decided to use my diamond ring for the assignment, and I chose rough unfinished wood as the background. I like the rough wood with the elegance of the ring. The contrast of subject as well as of light made it stand out more. Here are my two photos:
