What Inspires You?

What inspires you to create? As I choose what subjects I want to photograph, I have been thinking about what makes me choose what I take pictures of. Is it something that I am personally attached to, or is it something that has appeal outside of the context that I know it in? To truly be successful in photography, our art must evoke emotions in others that have never seen the subject except the way that we have captured it. So what inspires you--is it something that inspires others as well? I'm going to do a series of posts on what inspires me, along with a few photos that I have taken recently.
